Themezz ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Themezz mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account we collect the email address you provide, or the identifier supplied by Apple or Google if you use social sign-in. We do not store your Apple or Google password.

1.2 Subscription & Payment Data

Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Our subscription management partner, RevenueCat, receives a pseudonymous user identifier and purchase receipt to verify your entitlement. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

1.3 Usage Data

We collect anonymous analytics events through Mixpanel to understand how features are used. Examples include which categories are viewed, search queries, and whether push notifications are tapped. These events are associated with a pseudonymous identifier and are not linked to your name or contact information beyond your account email.

1.4 Custom Topics

If you create custom topics in the "Your Topics" feature, the keywords you enter are stored in our database and used to match relevant content for your personalized feed.

1.5 Push Notification Tokens

If you enable notifications we store your device's Expo push token and your timezone so we can deliver notifications at the time you have configured.

1.6 Crash & Error Reports

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs. These may include device model, operating system version, and stack traces. Your user ID may be attached to help us diagnose issues specific to your account.

1.7 Feedback Messages

If you submit feedback through the App, your message and email address are delivered to us via email. We do not store feedback messages in any database; they exist only in our email inbox.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, push tokens, custom topics, preferences) is removed from our database. Anonymized analytics data may persist in Mixpanel. Crash reports in Sentry are retained for 90 days.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure server-side authentication. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights & Choices

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, and the right to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through the App or by email.
